SWITHLAND CHURCH

The Parish Church of St Leonards Swithland is situated in the picturesque Charnwood Forest area of North Leicstershire. The well kept 12 century church has a first floor ring of 6 bells, the tenor being 12 1/2 cwt.The Bells were first hung in 1760, being gifted to the parish by Sir John Danvers. They were last rehung in 1960 and are currently regularly rung.

Welcome


The Bell Ringers of Swithland St Leonards parish church in Leicestershire.Currently our band has 12 active members and in addition to ringing at Swithland we also ring for the other two Churches in our benefice which are St Mary's, Woodhouse, and St Pauls ,Woodhouse Eaves.
